Randy Farrell Parker

Randy Farrell Parker, 51, of Old NC 18, Connelly Springs died Sunday, March 23, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Catawba County on September 4, 1956 and was a son of Edith Ramsey Parker of Connelly Springs and the late Farrell Devon Parker. Randy was actively involved in the management and operations of his family’s business, Parker Industries, and was a member of First Assembly of God where he served as a trustee.Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 25 years, Patricia Lowman Parker, of the home; his son, Joshua Farrell Parker who is a student at Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL and his wife, Roseanna; his daughter, Jill Parker Knox, and her husband, Adam, of Eagle River, AK; his grandchildren, Madelyn and Samuel Knox; his brother, Jeff Parker and his wife, Angela, of Huntersville, NC; his sisters, Jane Parker of Cornelius, NC and Susan Parker Sherrill and her husband, Bill, of Valdese; nieces and nephews, Emily Parker, Lance Sherrill and his wife, Mandy, and Kirk Sherrill and his wife, Kim; his father and mother-in-law, Bob and Janette Lowman; brother-in-law, Randy Lowman; his sisters-in-law, Barbara Holman and Janet Chester; and a close family friend, Dot Gasperini.The funeral will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at First Assembly of God with Rev. J. D. Mallory officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God.
