Randy "Randyman" Seay

Randy "Randyman" Seay, 57, of Morganton, NC died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Grace Hospital after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Forsyth County, NC on January 17, 1955, he was a son of Thelma Lawing Dee of Wilmington, NC and the late John Dee. Randyman attended Freedom Baptist Church and had worked in the construction industry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.A "Paw Paw" to all, Randy is survived by his son, Randy Charles Seay, Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Marion, NC; daughters, Melissa Seay Chapman of Morganton and Stephanie Seay of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren, Kayla Seay, Jamie and Brooklyn Chapman, Katlyn and Zachary Conway, and John Drake; sisters, Barbara Evans and Wanda LeBouef, both of Wilmington, NC; a nephew, Michael Smith of Wilmington; and a niece, Michelle Gwyn of Newland, NC.The memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, March 19, 2012 at Mtn. View #2 Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Mashburn officiating. Military honors will be provided by the N.C. National Guard and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the home of his daughter, Melissa Chapman. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
