Randy Wilson Epley

Randy Wilson Epley, 52, of Morganton, NC passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 1, 2015. Randy was born in Burke County on November 25, 1962 to Ruth McMahan Epley and the late Mackie Wilson Epley.
Randy was a member of Central Baptist Church and worked at Drexel Heritage and Ethan Allen Furniture. He loved spending time with his family and friends, as well as his beloved dog, Daisy. He also enjoyed playing golf, working on cars, and training show horses.
In addition to his mother, Randy is survived by his three children, Emily Connelly and fiancé, Jeremy Bragg, of Marion, Dustin Epley and wife, Jessica, of Morganton, Brandon Cody Epley, and their mother, Caroline Epley; Randy’s fiancée of twelve years, Christine Patton of the home; her children, Lena Patton and fiancé, Cecil Moody, and Kristen Patton; grandchildren, Eva Epley, Austin Whisenant, and Dawson Whisenant; sisters, Judy Epley Roberts and Peggy Whalen Connelly; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
The celebration of Randy’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with the Rev. Douglas St. John officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
At other times the family will be at the home of Ruth Epley.
