Ray Edward Reece Sr., 85, of Drexel, NC, passed away on Sunday April 4, 2021. Born on February 15, 1936, he was the son of the late Rawleigh and Zada Reece. Ray was a member of the Church of the First Born. He was a veteran of the National Guard. Ray retired from Drexel Furniture and he also painted homes.
Ray is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Reece; sons, Ray Reece, Jr. (Jackie), Sam Reece, Mark Reece; grandchildren, Shawn Reece, Brandon Reece; great grandchildren, Lawson Reece; brothers, Dean Reece (Joyce); sisters, Joyce Black (Ken), Wilma Hunt (David).
In addition to his parents, Ray is preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne, Jerry, Billy Joe, and James Reece.
There will be a private family graveside for Mr. Reece.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
