Ray Lester Lail

Ray Lester Lail, 73, of Morganton died Monday, October 7, 2019.  Born in Burke County, NC on March 26, 1946, he was the son of the late Albert Lail and Alma Fannie Lail.  Ray was a member of Poarch Chapel Missionary Methodist Church.  He loved to hunt and fish.

Ray is survived by his wife, Frances Kay Olanketo Lail of the home; children, Sue Lynn Lail (Mike Walker), Matthew Ray Lail (Elizabeth), and Leslie Kay Lail; grandchildren, Mathew Lonon, Gabriel Lonon, David Lonon, Angel Lonon, Samantha Lail, Mathew Joseph Lail, and Sharla Moore; great-grandchildren, Mathias Lonon, Memphis Lonon, Brailee Lonon, Alexander Ignasiak, and Lexie Ignasiak; and siblings, Mary Beaver (Eddie) and Bobby Lloyd (Janet).

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lail.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m., Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Poarch Chapel Missionary Methodist Church.  The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. in the church with Rev. Wallace Smith officiating.
