Ray Wilson Mull

Ray Wilson Mull, Sr., 82, of Wilson Dr. in Morganton died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Valdese following a period of declining health. Born December 26, 1927 in Burke County, he was the son of the late Baxter Mull and Florence E. Mace Mull. Ray served in the US Army during World War II, and attended the First Assembly of God.He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Venus Woody Mull; children, Diane Turbyfill and husband, Roger, of Conover, Marsha Giles and husband, Ernie of Chattanooga, TN, and Ray Mull, Jr. and wife, Amie of Morganton; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Kathleen McIntosh and Hazel Guffey, both of Morganton.Private graveside services will be held at Burke Memorial Park with Pastor Daniel Smith officiating.
