Reba Bridges York

Reba Bridges York, 85, of Morganton died Wednesday, December 5, 2012 after several years of declining health. Born in Burke County, NC on April 15, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Kermit Bridges and Cora Cline Bridges. Reba was a life-long member of Bethel United Methodist Church and had served as the church pianist. She worked for many years at Rainbow Inn and in her later years at Walmart.

Reba is survived by her children, Linda Dale and her husband, Earle, of Union Mills, NC, Ronnie Daryl York and his wife, Francine, of Morganton, and Donna Parker of Glen Alpine, NC; grandchildren, Andrea Banner, Cheryll Hester, Brian York, Jeremy York, and Heather Morgan; great-grandchildren, Noah Hester, Seth Hester, Ethan York, Luna Simone Morgan, and Reagan York; and a brother-in-law, Robert Rhoney.In addition to her parents, Reba was preceded in death by her husband, Darlis York, and a sister, Juanita Rhoney.A graveside service will be held at 1:30pm, Friday, December 7, 2012 at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery on Bethel Road with Pastor Butch Osborne officiating.
