Reba Searcy Setzer

Reba Searcy Setzer, 88, of Rader Circle, Morganton, NC, left her earthly home peacefully as she slept on Saturday, May 10, 2008 and now resides with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in her mansion in the sky. Born on December 23, 1919 in Burke County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Searcy and Hattie Barton Searcy. Reba was a former employee of Waldensian Hosiery and a member of the Church of Christ in Chesterfield, NC.Mrs. Setzer is survived by two sons, Charles Steven Setzer and Marshall Setzer and wife, Tammi, all of Morganton; a daughter, Elsie Spencer and husband, John, of Statesville, NC; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Webb Setzer.The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2008 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Law officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
