Rebecca “Becky” Aldridge, 65, of Morganton passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019. Born in Elizabethton, TN on June 30, 1954, she was the daughter of Gene Johnson and the late Alma Aldridge. Becky was member of El Bethel Baptist Church.
A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her son, Shawn Cook (Teresa); grandchildren, Camden, Kendall, Preston, and Keeley; brothers, Alvin Hurt, Gary Hurt, and Albert Hurt, father, Gene Johnson; and her ex-husband, Jerry Cook (Teresa).
In addition to her mother, Becky was preceded in death by her son, Justin Cook; daughter-in-law, Kat Cook; and brothers, Doug Aldridge and Richard Hurt.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m., Thursday, August 29, 2019 at El Bethel Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. in the church with Revs. Justin Cunningham and Ron Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
