Rebecca Diana Stockton Morgan

Rebecca Diana Stockton Morgan, 47, died unexpectedly Friday, June 26, 2009 at Grace Hospital. Born August 28, 1961 in Blount County, TN, she was a daughter of Larry Stockton of Thorntown, Indiana and Arbadella Woodall Whisnant of Morganton. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church, Marion, NC. Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Morgan.In addition to her parents she is survived by her son, Robert Kyle Morgan of Morganton; a step son, Gary Justin Morgan of Ohio; her step-father, Randy Whisnant; a grandson, Ethan Lee Morgan; a brother, Jason Whisnant and his wife, Katherine of Valdese; sisters, Lisa Ann Penley, Marcy Grady and her husband, Kelly, and Jennifer Powell and her husband, Robert all of Morganton.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Silver officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour before the service. At other times the family will be at the residence of Randy and Arbadella Whisnant, 2635 Acorn Dr., Morganton.
