Regina Williams Kincaid

Regina Williams Kincaid, 87, of Morganton, NC went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at her residence. She was born on July 8, 1929 in Burke County, NC and was the daughter of the late Phifer Williams and Carrie Marie Ramseur Williams. Regina was a lifelong member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church where she enjoyed many years of singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School, leading Vacation Bible School, and serving as president of the Women’s WMU. She was also a leader of High School Reunions and County Homemakers Clubs. She loved to grow and arrange her flowers, many time adorning the church with them. She especially enjoyed her many mission trips to Romania.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn A. Kincaid.
She is survived by her brother, Norman Williams; sisters, Lena Hollifield and husband, Knox, Norine Miller and husband, Ray all of Morganton, and Gena Kirby of Charlotte; sister-in-law, Mary Belle Beach and husband, Ruthven; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Shawn Thomas and Dr. Dewey Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690 or to Pleasant Ridge Baptist, P.O. Box 1159, Morganton, NC 28680. The family would like to thank the faithful caregivers and workers at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care.
