Richard Benton "Dick" Pendleton

Richard Benton "Dick" Pendleton, 74, of Morganton died Monday, January 28, 2013 while surrounded by his loving family. Born in Kingsport, TN on July 1, 1938, he was the son of the late Curtis Lee Pendleton and Grace Dickens Pendleton. Dick retired from Dixie Container and Broughton Hospital.He is survived by his wife, Judy Powell Pendleton of the home; daughters, Debbie Pendleton Ollis and her husband, Scott, and Suzette Pendleton, all of Morganton; grandchildren, Benton Ollis, Christopher Ollis, and Cayla Ollis; a brother, Curtis Ray Pendleton and his wife, Helen, of Taylorsville, NC; and a number of nephews and nieces.In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Fox.The funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Neill Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 until noon.
