Richard Lee Bowman

Richard Lee Bowman, 78, of Drexel, NC died Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Born December 2, 1933 in Burke County, NC, he was a son of the late Harvey Andrew Bowman and Elva Mae Blackburn Bowman. Richard was a former employee of Leviton. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.Richard is survived by a son, Richard "Rocky" Bowman and wife, Marlo, of Hickory; an adopted daughter, Annette Sanders of Lenoir; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Harvey Bowman, Juanita Stailey, and Gary Bowman; and his canine companion, "Casey".In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Marie Bowman; a son, Bryan Lee Bowman; a daughter, Sheila Marie Bowman; and a sister, Irene Woody.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2012 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
