Richard Smith Arrowood

Richard Smith Arrowood, 82, of Morganton passed away Friday, November 12, 2021.  Born in Burke County, NC on November 17, 1938, he was the son of the late Ernest Luther Arrowood and Carrie Smith Arrowood.  Richard was an avid golfer who also enjoyed traveling.  He was a wonderful, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Mr. Arrowood is survived by his wife, Norida Arrowood; children, Brian Arrowood (Susan) and April Arrowood Henderson; grandchildren, Wesley Arrowood (Briana), Kaylee Arrowood, Logan Henderson, and Grace Arrowood; and great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Jaida, Wyatt, Annelise, and Gionna.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his siblings, Ernest Arrowood and Betsy Throneburg.

The cryptside service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Douglas St. John officiating.
