Ricky Abee

Ricky Abee, 50 of Morganton, NC went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 1, 2015. Born December 30, 1964 in Jacksonville, FL, he was the son of Willie Mae Rienhardt Abee and the late Jimmy Leonard Abee, Sr. Mr. Abee loved his family, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending auctions and flea markets.
In addition to his mother, Ricky is survived by his wife, Kristina Workman Abee; children, Brandon Abee and wife, Casey, of Vale, Cierra Pritchard and husband, Jarrod, of Hickory, Dalton Abee and wife, Miranda, of Welcome, Jordon McCarty, and Jake Norris of Valdese; sisters, Robin Shook of Valdese and Cindy Atkins and husband, Ronald, of Morganton; grandchildren, Payton Abee and Peyton Patrick of Vale; and brothers, Tim Abee of Morganton and Jimmy Abee of Vale.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Abee.
The memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with the Rev. Tom Hartman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 until 6:00 p.m. prior to the service.
