Tribute Wall
Leave a tribute for Robert “Bob” Erwin.
Bob Erwin will be remembered by me for his thoughtful kindness, giving heart, warm smile, and commitment to making things better. I was only fortunate enough to interact with him occasionally during the past 10 years and that was due to his generous support for the upkeep of Belvidere Cemetery off Piedmont Road. The cemetery, which is the resting place for some of Bob's ancestors, including Revolutionary War Patriots, is owned by Historic Burke Foundation, for which I volunteer, and Bob for many years has paid the annual expense for its upkeep and for removing fallen trees. The last time I saw Bob, he smiled at me and twinkled his eyes as we were both taking Communion at First United Methodist Church. That is a fitting memory of a man dedicated to God and to his community and family. It has been a blessing to know him.
My sincere condolences to the family. We spent 5 days together 9n a bus trip to Jacksonville, FL. I loved his spirit and he's was such a bright light in this dark world.

Went to work for Bob Erwin in 1969 when I graduated from WPCC. Worked for Bob for 20 years. He was a great boss but more than that he was more like a father figure to me during those years. Being just 20 years of age, Bob help guide me with words of wisdom when I needed encouragement in life. When our boys were young, he gave us a puppy from a litter from his dog Pike. That was so kind. Bob was a great husband and father to his wife Sis and his sons John and Charlie. To the family the world needs more Bob Erwin’s. God bless you. Ronnie Crain

Alice, I'm so sorry about the loss of Robert, and I know it's going to be difficult to go through this again. You are in my thoughts and prayers for the days ahead
