Robert Buster Pendley

Robert Buster Pendley, 82 of Morganton, NC passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Born May 14,1939 in Mitchell County, NC, he was a son of the late David Theo Pendley and Ella McClean Pendley. He loved his dogs and enjoyed being outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Joann Riddle Pendley; brother, Paul Pendley and T.J. Pendley; and sister, Beulah Pendley.

Mr. Pendley is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Pendley; special grandchildren, Nick Pendley (Kayla) and Alex Pendley; great-grandchildren, Jaylynn “June Bug” Pendley and Marcalina “LiLi” Pendley; brothers, Benny Joe Pendley (Becky), John Henry Pendley (Regina), Jesse Pendley, and David Pendley (Liz); and sisters, Mabel Loven, Jean Thomas, Sue Pendley.

The family will receive friends from 2pm – 3pm, Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Calvary Church on Pea Ridge. The graveside service will follow at Calvary Church Cemetery with Rev. George Crawford officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
