Robert D. Payne

Robert D. Payne, 31, of Enola Rd., Morganton, NC died unexpectedly, October 28, 2008 at Grace Hospital. He was born October 30, 1976 in Burke County, NC, and was a son of Darlene Silvers Payne Carswell and her husband, David, of Morganton, and Bruce Payne and his wife, Janet, of Morganton. Robert was of the Baptist faith.In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Randy Payne and his wife, Kim, of Morganton; and a nephew, Schylar Payne of Morganton.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2008 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. David Orders and Rev. Ken Frady officiating. Burial will follow at Payne Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Marshall, NC. The family will receive friends Saturday one-half hour prior to the funeral.
