Robert "Daddy Bob" Fogle

Robert "Daddy Bob" Fogle, 77, of Old NC 18, Morganton, NC died Sunday, February 24, 2008 at McDowell Hospital in Marion, NC following a period of declining health. He was born May 19, 1930 in Forsyth County, NC, and was a son of the late Frank E. Fogle and Louise Holland Fogle. Robert was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War, and had worked for ITW in Chicago for over 30 years.He is survived by his wife, Nancy Shortt Warner Fogle of the home; sons, Frank Fogle of Huntersville, NC, Roger Warner, Jr. of Mt. Holly, NC, and Edwin Scott Warner of Hickory, NC; a daughter, Janie Dee Burleson and husband, Van of Morganton; grandchildren, April and Alan Bridges, Justin and Tera Warner, and Alex Burleson, all of Morganton, and Denton Fogle of Huntersville; and a great granddaughter, Samantha Bridges.Cryptside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum with Pastor James Shortt officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Valdese American Legion Post #234. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm at Sossoman Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
