Robert Lee Wilson Powell, 87, of Morganton, NC passed away Friday, June 15, 2018. Born August 30, 1930 in Burke County, NC, he was the son of the late Eber Wilson and Estelle Conley Powell. In addition to his parents, Robert was also predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Louise Benfield Powell.
Robert is survived by his sons, Scotty Douglas Powell and Robert Gene Powell both of Morganton and three grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 18 at Sossoman Funeral Home.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
