Robert Michael Whisnant

Robert Michael Whisnant, 59, of Morganton passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019.  Born in Burke County, NC on August 5, 1959, he was the son of the late Joann Clontz Whisnant.

Robert was a long-haul truck driver and a hard worker.  He was devoted to his family and cared for his mother until her passing in May 2019.  He was an avid fan of NASCAR and the NFL and he enjoyed fishing.

Robert is survived by a sister, Leslie W. Hoosier (Dwayne); and nephew, Dwayne, Jr.

A cryptside service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Ed Stephenson officiating.  The family will greet friends following the service.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
