Robin Auldredge Burgess

Robin Auldredge Burgess, 56, of Morganton, NC entered the gates of Heaven on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care.  Born November 9, 1959 in Petersburg, VA, she was a daughter of Sue Frisbee Auldredge and the late Max Bailey Auldredge.

Robin was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, and a devoted caregiver.  She was a faithful member of Summit Church and a devoted Christian.  For the past fourteen years, Robin worked as a CNA II at Grace Ridge.  She was a former volunteer with Burke Hospice.

In addition to her mother, Robin is survived by her husband, David J. Burgess of the home; son, Dustin Theo Burgess of the home; brothers, Ricky Auldredge and wife, Anne, and their sons, Kelby and Jeremy, all of Morganton and Tracy Auldredge and wife, Melony, and their daughter, Emily, all of Olympia, Washington; sister Maxine Davis and companion, Mark Acuff, and their son, Levi, all of Glen Alpine; brother-in-law, Pat Hunt of Lenoir, NC; her beloved dog, Mooney; and many nephews and nieces.

In addition to her father, Robin was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Hunt.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 am - 1 pm, Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Summit Community Church.  The funeral will be held at 1 pm at the church with Rev. Mike Chandler officiating.  Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park.
