Robyn Lynn Cook Hylemon

Robyn Lynn Cook Hylemon, 55, of Morganton passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 4, 2017.  She loved the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, above all else.  Born in Yancey County, NC on November 29, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Lige Hylemon and Gladys Marie Higgins Hylemon.  She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and spending time outdoors.  Robyn also enjoyed volunteering with various organizations to help the less fortunate in our community.

Robyn is survived by the father of her children and a dear friend, Ron Cook; her children, Amber Marie Cook and Brandon Caldwell, Jacob Earl Cook, and Emily Noelle Cook, all of Morganton; her beloved granddaughters, Jaylen and Brooklyn; brothers, Creed and Eurite Hylemon; sisters, Rosa Peters (Vernon), Alma Radford, Barbara Robinson (Larry), Carolyn Smith, and Betty Robinson (David), and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Robyn was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth and Otis Hylemon.

The family will receive friends from 11 am to 12pm, Friday, June 9, 2017 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church.  The funeral will follow at noon in the church with the Rev. William S. Fulp officiating.  The graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday at Proffitt Cemetery in Burnsville, NC.
