Romiles "Cotton" Triplett

Romiles “Cotton” Triplett, 69, of Morganton died Tuesday, October 9, 2018.  Born in Wilkes County, NC on November 11, 1948, he was the son of the late Carroll Rhoney and Marie Hawkins Rhoney.

Cotton is survived by his wife, Caroline Triplett; daughters, Ashley Triplett and Bonnie Mendoza and friend, Robert Mendoza; son, Carroll Triplett and girlfriend, Brenda Henderson; granddaughters, Angela Mendoza and Jessica Ward; grandsons, Bradley Triplett, Tyler Triplett, and Eric McCall; 6 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lois Dula, and husband, Jenkie, Wilhelmina Pearson and husband, Leonard, and Carolyn Pearson and husband, Bobo.

In addition to his parents, Cotton was preceded in death by a brother, Loyd Triplett.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.  The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Rufus Edmisten officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
