Ronnie Ray Stroupe

Ronnie Ray Stroupe, 53, of Mt. Home Church Road, Morganton, NC died Sunday, August 16, 2009 at his residence. Born in Burke County, NC on September 25, 1955, he was the son of Delores Hildebrand Stroupe of Morganton and the late Harvey Agee Stroupe. Ronnie was a member of Mt. Home Baptist Church and was self-employed.In addition to his mother, Ronnie is survived by his wife, Melissa Price Stroupe of the home; a son, Josh Stroupe of Morganton; brothers, Ricky, Russell, and Rex Stroupe, all of Morganton; and grandchildren, Davin, Raylin, and Dylan Stroupe.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Mt. Home Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the funeral hour.
