Rosa Clark

Rosa Clark, 91, of Drexel, NC died Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Born in Zebulon, NC on September 29, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Reuben Rogers and Candance Shell Rogers. Rosa was a member of Morganton Freedom Church of God. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and loved to care for children and bake for her family.Rosa is survived by her sons, Don Clark and his wife, Darlene, of Elkin, NC and Ron Clark and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Rutherfordton, NC; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Morganton Freedom Church of God with the Rev. Todd Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690.The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Autumn Care for their loving care of their mother for the last four years and to the staff of Burke Hospice for their wonderful care.Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
