Rose M. Gimpel

Rose M. Gimpel, 72, of Horseshoe Lane, Morganton, NC died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Grace Hospital. Born in Ontario, Canada on February 28, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Frank Heritz and Lillian Andrewjewsky Heritz. Rose loved working with flowers and was devoted to her family. She was a member at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Lillian Gimpel and Shirley Reid.She is survived by her husband, John Gimpel; son, Jack Gimpel and his wife, Jackie of Kings Mountain, NC; daughters, Victoria Messer and her boyfriend, David Hobart of Morganton, NC, Constance Ray and her husband, Ernie of Gastonia, NC; brother, Richard Heritz; sisters, Connie Hillman, Sylvia Rawson all of Canada; grandchildren, Jonathan Dixon, Jeffrey Karst, Christopher Karst, Amber Milwood; great grandchildren, Austyn Dixon, Skyler Karst, Colt Dixon, Hunter Karst, and Javian Milwood and many nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 8, 2011 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home & Crematory Center.
