Rosemary Carson Dale, 77, of Morganton, NC passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. She was born in Burke County on July 6, 1944 to the late Downie Carson and Annie Milligan Carson. She was a member of Burkemont Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday school and sang in the choir. Rosemary loved and was loved by many people. She worked at Shadowline for 25 years and later worked at Lowe’s until she retired in 2020.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Carson.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joseph L Dale; son, Jeff Dale (Stephanie); granddaughters, Kara Hosmer (Sean) and Brittany Dale; great-granddaughter, Madeleine Hosmer; brothers, Woodrow Carson (Barbara), Danny Carson (Kathy), and Terry Carson (Norma); sisters, Brenda Joy (Gary), Dolores Davis (Wayne), and Dorothy Shuping.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Burkemont Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 in the church with Rev. Dr. Eddy Bunton and Rev. Dr. Luke Lane officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
