Roy E. Dale

Roy E. Dale, 73, of Morganton died Saturday, January 18, 2014. He was born in Burke County on May 18, 1940 and was a son of the late Conley "C. R." Dale and Elizabeth "Lib" Franklin Dale. Roy served four years in the U. S. Air Force and was a retired employee of the NC Department of Corrections.Roy is survived by his brother Gilbert Dale and his wife, Ann, of Morganton; his companion, Inez Williams and her children and grandchildren; nephew, Mike Dale and his sons, Alex and Aaron; nieces, Deborah Gardner and her son, Seth, and Pam Jordan and her son, Jason.Funeral services will be private. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made in Roy’s memory to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family.
