Roy Justion Moseley, Jr

Roy J. Moseley, Jr., 57 of Morganton, NC passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 at his home surrounded by family and loved ones.  Born September 26, 1961 in Chattahoochee County, Georgia he was a son of the late Roy Justion Moseley and Mariam Louise McGalliard Holder.

Roy was a veteran of the United States Army serving with the 82^nd Airborne.  Roy was a member of River of Life Church.  He owned and operated R & R Ironworks.  Roy was a “man of steel,” but also a giver at heart and was a good and faithful servant.

Roy is survived by his wife, Jan Moseley; sons, Justion Moseley, III (Courtney) and Jeremiah Moseley (Madison); step-daughter, Sonya Suttle (Kirk); and step-son, Scott Dockery.  Also surviving are his grandchildren, Taylor Dockery, Keltie Suttle, Sam Suttle, Parker Moseley, Selah Moseley, and Pharris Roy “P. Roy” Moseley; siblings, Sandy Denison, Melany Doty, and Chris Moseley (Elle); nephews, Chandler and Storm Wakefield; niece, Ella Moseley; and lots of close friends that he considered brothers.

The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 p.m., Sunday, July 14 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 15 at River of Life Church with Rev. Daniel Gutierrez and Rev. Allen King officiating.  Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park with military honors provided by the North Carolina National Guard and Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
