Roy Ronald Ozmun, Sr.

Roy Ronald Ozmun, Sr., 82, of Morganton, NC, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022.

Born in Texas on August 5, 1939, he was the son of the late Floyd William Ozmun and Freda Pauline Steiltzic Ozmun.  Roy was a veteran of the US Air Force and retired as a custodian from Illinois Public Schools.  He loved the children and was loved by them.

Mr. Ozmun is survived by his wife of 62 years, Judy Ozmun; son, Shelby Ray Ozmun (Holli); daughter, Julie Clark (Jeremy); grandchildren, Lisa Crotts (Gary), Amanda Nance (Raymond), and James Ozmun; great-grandchildren, Jaden, Belvia, Zamara, Kelli, Taylor, and Clayton; and siblings, Mary Kimmons (Buddy), Jo Griffin (Earl), Charlene Hambrick (Dale), Delice Kurly (Ken), and Arthur Ozmun (Irma).

In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by a son, Roy Ozmun, Jr.; and siblings, Edward Dunn, James Dunn, Shelby Ozmun, John Robertson, and Kathy Mills.

A private service for Roy will be held at a later date.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
