Roy William Wilson

Roy William Wilson, 81, died Monday, January 16, 2012 following a period of declining health. Roy was born in Burke County on October 31, 1930 and was a son of the late Marcus and Bessie Mace Wilson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.Roy was a loving brother and is survived by a brother, Clarence Wilson of Morganton, and by a sister, Hazel Smith of Newton.Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Burke Memorial Park with Rev. Michael Brown officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home.
