Ruth Hoyle Kimbrell

Ruth Hoyle Kimbrell, 76, of Poteat Rd., Morganton, NC died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Grace Hospital following a period of declining health. Born in Rutherford Co., NC on December 16, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Belo A. Hoyle and Lillie Florence Ross Hoyle. She worked in the dietary department of Western Carolina Center for twenty-five years. Ruth was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and her church, Burkemont Baptist Church.Ruth is survived by her son, Philip Kimbrell and wife, Donna, of Morganton; daughters, Janice Brewington and husband, Ray, and Amy Michaels and husband, Chris, all of Morganton; grandchildren, Holly Page and husband, Josh, of Hickory, NC, and Wendy Kimbrell, Paige Kimbrell, Justin Austin, Dakota Michaels, and Alora Michaels, all of Morganton; great-grandchildren, Connor, Tanner, and Lucas Page, all of Hickory; siblings, Herman Hoyle and wife, Bea, of Bostic, NC, Bernie Hoyle and wife, Nell, of Shelby, Ruby Hutchins of Morganton, Lillian Greene and husband, Amos, of Kings Mountain, NC, and Robert Hoyle and wife, Irene, of Bostic.In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her sister, Modene Landis, and a brother, Billy Hoyle.The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Burkemont Baptist Church with Dr. David Mills and Rev. Eddy Bunton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
