Sam Moody

Sam Allen Moody, 56, of Morganton died Monday, November 23, 2020.  Born in Burke County, NC on June 23, 1964, he was the son of the late Sam Lattie Moody and Mabel Irene Powell Moody.

Sam is survived by his son, Dusty Moody (Shelby); daughter, Jessica Moody; grandchildren, Waylen, Triston, Layla, Bella, McKenzie, Makayla, Dusty, Harley, Lyla, Rayne, and Daisy; brothers, Curtis, Carl, and Cecil Moody; and sisters, Venessa Shatley and Edna Michaels.

In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Lueann Moody; son, Sammy Moody; sister, Debra Newton; and nephew, Chase Newton.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
