Sandra Lee Prince

Sandra Lee Prince, 70, of Morganton, NC died Friday, September 9, 2016. She was born on November 22, 1945 in Rutherford County to the late I.K. Flack, Jr. and Mavel Murray Flack. Sandra was very accepting, generous and patient. She enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening, and laughing with family and friends. She was known for a deeply-rooted Christian faith and spreading love through selfless acts including over 14 years working with Operation Christmas Child (10 years as Burke County Relay Center Coordinator), volunteering with Young at Heart Ministries, and special meals for her family, friends, and church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald E. Flack; sister, Jackie F. Lawson; and son, Terry Lee Prince.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Steve Prince; sons, Robert Steve Prince, Jr and wife, Phyllis of Piedmont, SC; Timothy Lee Prince and wife, Gina of Harrisburg, NC; brothers, Douglas Flack of Rutherfordton, NC and I.K. Flack, III of Concord, NC; sister, Grace Epley of Mooresboro, NC, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:00pm, Monday, September 12, 2016 at Morganton First Assembly of God with Pastor John White officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Burke County Hospice and Palliative Care, 1721 Enon Rd. Valdese, NC 28690.
