Sanford Norman

Sanford Norman, 73, of Morganton passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Born in Burke County, NC on September 4, 1938, he was the son of the late William Luther Norman and Cora Lee Smith Norman. Sanford was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.He is survived by his wife, Shirley "Carolyn" Burnette Norman of the home; a son, Gary Norman and his wife, Lisa, of Morganton; daughters, Felicia Austin and her husband, Lee, and Dana Sisk and her husband, Sonny, both of Morganton; grandchildren, Brittany Lowdermilk and her husband, Kyle, Krista Norman, Karlee Norman, Savannah Sisk, and Cameron Sisk; a great-granddaughter, Aubrey Lowdermilk; and a special uncle, Woodrow Norman of Morganton.The funeral will be held at 2:30 pm, Thursday, July 19, 2012 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Reverends Marty Bess and Brandon Ware officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one and a half hour prior to the service.
