Sara Walker Dale

Sara Walker Dale, 75 of Morganton, NC passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011. Born in Burke County, NC on July 17, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Theodore Walker and Mable Garrison Walker. Sara was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.Sara is survived by her husband, Stuart Dale of the home; a daughter, Rama D. Dale of Morganton; a sister, Anne W. Weldon of Hickory; and a number of nephews and nieces.In addition to her parents, Sara was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby G. Walker.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. David Orders officiating. Entombment will follow in Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center, where the body will remain until placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the funeral hour.
