Sarah Elizabeth Leonhardt

Sarah Elizabeth Leonhardt, 31, of Gastonia passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 18, 2019.  Born in Burke County on January 21, 1988, she was the daughter of Chris Leonhardt and the late Renee Honeycutt Deaton.

Sarah lived in Gastonia with her fiancé, Barry Wilson.  She was a very loving person who would go out of her way to help people.  She loved her family dearly.

In addition to her father, Sarah is survived by sons, Elijah Tanner Johnson and Christopher Dalton Leonhardt; sisters, Mindy Warren; brother, Daniel Warren; step-mother, Melissa Leonhardt; step-brothers, Jonathan and Steven Lowdermilk; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m., Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The funeral will follow at 6 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. John Terry officiating.
