Scott Richard Jackson

Scott Richard Jackson, 53, of Connelly Springs, NC went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 22, 2021.  Born in Catawba County, NC on July 15, 1968, he was the son of Richard Jackson and Judy Kirby Jackson.  Scott was a devoted husband, son, father, brother, uncle, pawpaw, and friend who loved his family.  He worked at Pregis in Conover for over 20 years.  Scott enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially golf, and was an avid Carolina Panthers fan.  He will best be remembered for his ability to make people laugh and smile.

In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by his wife, Glenda Shelton Jackson; son, Drake Nicolas-Scott Jackson (Lauren); step-son, Vincent Palermo; granddaughters, Kynlee and Kylah Jackson; grandson due in December; sister, Dana Jackson Nichols (Jeff); nephew, Jackson Nichols, Mason Nichols, Brett Stamey, and Mason George; niece, Shelby George; mother-in-law, Patricia Carswell Shelton; and sister-in-law, Amy George.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald L. Jackson, Mildred T. Jackson, Calvin Kirby, and Beulah C. Kirby; and father-in-law, John Shelton.

A celebration of Scott’s life will be held at 6pm, Friday, August 6, 2021 at Tabernacle Baptist Church. The family request that all attendees wear a mask.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
