God received a truly incredible angel when Sharon Anne Settlemyre Shuffler, 66, of Morganton passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Burke Palliative Care Center in Valdese following a lengthy illness. Born July 31, 1944 in Burke County, she was the daughter of the late Julius Homer Settlemyre and Willie Louise Hewitt Settlemyre. She was very active in the Burke Quilt Guild and also in the local horse community, serving as past President of the McDowell Saddle and Bridle Club.
