Sharon Gatlin

Sharon Gatlin, 66, of Rutherfordton, NC died Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Grace Hospital. Born December 8, 1944 in Jamestown, TN, she was a daughter of Laura B. Bislick of Byhalia, Mississippi and the late Bernard John Bislick. In addition to her father, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny "John" Mack Gatlin. She attended the Church of the Incarnation in Collierville, TN.A loving mother and "Grammy", Sharon is survived by her mother; her daughter, Laura Reed and husband, Jason of Morganton; grandson, Jake Reed; and sister, Annie Warren of Byhalia.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2011 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Rev. Freddie Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Reed Family Cemetery in Morganton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
