Sharon K. Marlow

Sharon K. Marlow, 64, of Nebo, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at her residence. Born in Rowan County, NC on January 16, 1948, she was the daughter of the late James Smeades Sullivan and Pearl White Sullivan. Sharon was an active member of North Morganton United Methodist Church and a graduate of Wingate College. A Realtor for 37 years, she owned Sharon Marlow Realty, and was twice awarded Realtor of the Year.Sharon is survived by her husband, Ronald Jay Marlow of the home; a son, Jay S. Marlow of Asheville; a brother, Steve Sullivan and wife, Jane, of Harrisburg, NC; and sisters, Charlene Motley and husband, Mitchel, of Concord and Nancy Starnes and husband, Marshal, of Matthews, NC.In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Hoyle Sullivan, and a sister, Fay Hockenberry.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012 at North Morganton United Methodist Church with Rev. Neill Shaw officiating. Entombment will follow in the church columbarium. The family will greet friends following the entombment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Morganton United Methodist Church, 990 Sanford Drive, Morganton, NC 28655. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
