Shelby Berry Bryant, 85, of Drexel, NC, went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 22, 2023.
Born in Burke County, NC on February 28, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Harold Berry and Minnie Pearl Reece Berry. Shelby was raised in the Church of God. She worked as a clerk for Drexel Furniture and later for an insurance company. Shelby was a loving cook who loved dogs and rode motorcycles in her younger years.
A loving wife, Mrs. Bryant is survived by her husband, Billy Bryant; nephew, Scott Berry; niece, Melanie Berry Byers (Terry); and numerous cousins.
In addition to her parents, Shelby was preceded in death by her brother, Harold “Gene” Berry (Juanita).
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, January 29, 2023 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Dr. Jack Hodges officiating. The interment for Shelby will be private.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Shelby was a loving neighbor and friend. She taught me how to drive. Her beauty and her smile were noticed by many. Will miss her greatly! Love, Carolyn
