Shirley Massey Taylor

Shirley Massey Taylor, 85, of Morganton, NC passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. She was born on April 9, 1935 in Wilson, NC to the late Fred Massey and Margaret Rowe Vogt. Shirley attended the First United Methodist Church in Morganton. She enjoyed traveling, crafting, sewing, quilting and macramé. She would do anything for her family and kids. She was an incredible wife, mom and granny.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Jim Taylor; children, Terri Holbrook (Gary) of Bradenton, FL, Larry Taylor (Sharon) of Morganton, and Scott Taylor of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Kyle Holbrook (Coleen Cosgrove), Kasey Holbrook, Wesley Taylor (Allie), Bradley Taylor (Mary Katherine), Collin Taylor (Catherine) and Peyton Taylor (fiancé, Andrew Lance); great-grandchildren, Owen Holbrook, Ross Taylor, and Mary Evelyn Taylor.

There will be a private family service at a later date.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
