Steve Wayne Berryhill

Steve Wayne Berryhill, 63, of Morganton went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 4, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Rutherford County to the late Joseph Roy Berryhill, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Price Berryhill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dannie Junior Berryhill and Kenneth Ray Berryhill. Steve was a US Navy veteran, and a retired truck driver from Zenith Freight in Conover.Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Diane Berryhill, daughters, Kimberly Dawn Berryhill and Lisa Reneé Berryhill Alvis, two grandchildren, Vanessa Reneé Buff and fiancé, Tristan Wayne Killian, and Travis Jalen Alvis, all of the home.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 6, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. John Hutchins officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park with military graveside rites conducted by the Valdese American Legion Post #234. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
