Stewart Glen Thompson

Stewart Glen Thompson, 59, of Morganton, NC passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017.  Born on December 18, 1957 in Caldwell County, he was a son of the late Earl Thompson and Irene Mary Johnson Thompson.  He attended St. Mary’s & St. Stephens’s Episcopal Church.

Stewart is survived by his wife, Carrie Thompson; children, Amanda Speagle and husband, John of Morganton and Nicholas Stewart Thompson and wife, Jennifer of Hickory; grandchildren, Tyler, Ethan, and Emma Conley, Kezney Poole, Kazley and Kyizon Thompson; great-son, Tobias Conley; three sisters; and two brothers.

In addition to his parents, Stewart was preceded in death by two brothers.

The memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 19, 2017 at St. Mary’s & St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church at 140 St. Mary's Church Road with Rev. Jim Dahlin officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
