We knew Stuart for just a short time at his and Judy's lake home in North Carolina, but really enjoyed having him as a neighbor and motorcycle buddy for Amos. Enjoyed many happy hours on either their deck or ours. Wishing happy memories only to the entire family.

Stuart was our neighbor for many years. He loved entertaining, so some of my favorite memories were of having us and other neighbors over for dinner, gatherings that were a part of how close-knit our neighborhood was in those years. He was generous, too, twice giving us Christmas hams to celebrate the season. Christmas was his absolute favorite time, and he built his house to accommodate the enormous tree with the beautiful ornaments he put up each year. Never short of information on any topic, he loved sharing his expertise and knew a wide range of interests and experiences. I appreciated his devotion to Judy and saw how much he loved and cared for her and the girls. Stuart was a larger than life personality, and, when he and Judy moved away, some of the fun left the neighborhood as well. I miss those dinners and the conversation, and now Stuart himself. May he rest in peace.

Our deepest sympathy to Judy and the family. Stuart was larger than life and we all sure had some great times at the lake. The New Year's Eve dinners (among many others) are some great memories. Stuart seemed to love a group of friends gathered at the house. We're thankful we were among them. He will be missed. Our prayers are with you.
