Sudie Christine Sigmon Kirby

Sudie Christine Sigmon Kirby, 87 of Drexel, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014. She was born in Burke County, NC on December 26, 1927 to the late Harrison Sigmon and Florence Deal Sigmon.
Sudie was a longtime devoted member of Drexel First Church of God where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the church choir. She retired from Drexel Heritage with 29 years of service.
Sudie is survived by her son, Wayne Ramsey and wife, Pat; her daughter Karen Haas, both of Drexel; Grandchildren, Kandi Carswell and husband, Terry, Crystal Reece, Jason Ramsey, and Brad Reece and wife Kelly; Great-Grandchildren, Brigham and Blythe McNeely, Cailey, Jaden, and Anna Ramsey, Lani and Landon Reece, Christian, Jamie, and Courtney Carswell; and sister, Freida Laffel of Indiana.
In addition to her parents, Sudie was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Herbert Ramsey; second husband, Baine Kirby; brother, Clyde Sigmon; sisters, Eva Anthony, Zelda Anthony and Mary Reeves.
Funeral services for Sudie Kirby will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Drexel First Church of God with Reverend Steve Greer and Reverend Don Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
