Susan Carol Handy

Susan Carol Handy, 53, died Friday, November 11, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Susan was born in Burke County on June 16, 1958 and was a daughter of Elizabeth Gail Johnson of Morganton and the late Carlus Dean Handy.Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Dean Allen Handy; sisters, Barbara Handy Morales and Lori Lynne Gilbert; nieces, Christina Stogner and Melissa Bryant and her husband, Robert; great-nieces, Katie Causby, Cassie Stogner, and Abby Bryant; and a great-nephew, Malachi Bryant all of Morganton. She also leaves behind her beloved Chihuahua, Popcorn.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Mt. View #2 Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Mashburn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Sossoman Funeral Home.
