Susan Murphy Sigmon

Susan Murphy Sigmon, 59, of Morganton passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021.  Born in Burke County, NC on April 16, 1962, she was the daughter of Bobby Lee Murphy and Shirley Ann Powell Bowman.  Susan had a big heart, and would help anyone in need.  She loved her family and friends very much, and she praised the Lord every day.

In addition to her parents, Susan is survived by her husband, Dallas Sigmon; sister, Donna Queen; brothers, T.J. Fox (Amy Hill), Nick Robinson (Shea), Greg Branch, and Troy Branch; nephews, Travis Smith, Colton Fox, Dalton Robinson, Mackie Lowery, Jason Sigmon, John Boy, Mark, and Phillip; nieces, Cheyenne Fox, Raylen, Brooklyn, Zoey, Angie Alexandria, Shannon Sigmon, Janie Patton, Keaven Pollard, and Tracy Sutton; aunts, Ann Lowery and Rosetta; great-nephew, Daegan; great-nieces, Scarlet and Willow step-mother, Jackie Branch; step-son, Christopher Sigmon; step-grandson, Easton James Sigmon; brothers-in-law, Keith Sigmon and Roger Sigmon; and sisters-in-law, Alice Sutton (Lee), Mary Patton (Dean), and Janice Finley.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, August 19, 2021 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
